IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ORIGINAL CHARACTER APPLICATIONS, THOSE ARE OVER HERE.

Applications are always open, and accepted on a weekly basis, over the weekends. All applications will be on separate comments, with the header as follows:

Character Name || Canon || OU/AU || Reserved or Not Reserved

Additionally, as a mod can claim to having severe app-anxiety, we also allow those of you who are nervous as hell to post apps publicly to email them to us instead! In the subject line, put 'Character Application', so we can find you amongst all the spam. The first line of the email would be the same format as above, followed by the shenanigans below. And our email is meridianmods@gmail.com!

Clarifications

PLAYER INFO
Name: (Self-explanatory, whatever you want us to call you)
Main Journal: (Your journal, not your character journal)
Contact Info: (Email, AIM, Plurk, etc. Anywhere you'd be comfortable with us contacting you)
Played Characters: (Characters you currently have in the game, along with their versions)
AC Reminders: (While we don't expect this to be an issue, people are forgetful. And that's okay! During Activity Checks, when there are three days remaining, if you have not responded and you're not on hiatus or anything similar, we will send you a reminder through your method of choice. If you want reminders, put what means would be the most effective to get them to you - email, aim, plurk, LJ message, etc - along with the name. If you'd like to opt out, then just leave it blank, put an N, remove this part, call us names, whatever you like!)

CHARACTER INFO
Name: (Your character's name)
Age: (Their age. If their physical age differs from their mental age, this is the place to mention it!)
Species: (Are they a human, a robot, a ghost, a giant purple dinosaur?)

Series: (The TV show, video game, anime, cartoon, movie, book, comic book, webcomic, or nightmare your character comes from. If there's more than one version of your character's canon-- and these two versions are sufficiently different, specify which one you're taking them from.)
OU/AU: (We would hope you know this if you've gotten this far. This game allows for Alternate Universe characters, so here is where you'd specify that!)
Canon Point: (Where are you taking them from? After their first big adventure, after their death, after their pet hamster runs away, post-series?)

History: (You're allowed to link to a wiki for the history of OU characters! For AUs, we won't ask you for a specific amount of words or paragraphs. However, we want a good understanding of your AU. Just remember our mindset is 'longer is better', within reason. We want you to write enough for you to prove that you've really worked out your AU history well, but we won't ask you to just pad it either.)

Personality: (Again, like history. No mandatory limit, but longer is better. Especially here. The personality section is one of the two main ways to show us you know your character. Sell it to us. Prove to us that you understand your character.)

Powers: (Anything that's worth knowing. Anything at all. Can your character fly, teleport, leap tall buildings in a single bound? Does their singing attract small woodland creatures? Tell us about it! In the mod comment back to your app, we'll give you the breakdown on what powers are kept, changed, or removed, so no need to worry about writing which powers would and wouldn't work in the city.)

Weaknesses: (Again, absolutely anything that's worth knowing. Is your character deathly allergic to nuts? Does even looking at teddy bears and flowers make them fall away in a dead faint?)

Possessions: (Just a list of items the character will have when they show up. This includes weapons. Include a short description of each item and its abilities, if any. This is mostly for weapons though, since they'll fall under the same regulation as powers.)

Marking Location: (In response to your app, you'll be told if you are marked or not, but you're free to choose where your marking is, should you be marked. Self-explanatory, really.)
Miscellaneous: (Anything else you think is relevant!)

First Person: (A sample written in the first person. Action is allowed, yes, as there are no communicators in this game, but what we're looking here is for your character's voice!

Similar to history and personality, but the guidelines are much more lenient. Ten sentences is the recommended, but even as low as three is acceptable. We understand that some characters don't talk much, some almost mute with how little they speak. Hey, maybe they're actually mute! The point is that you convey your character, and if you can do it in three sentences, then hell yes!)

Third Person: (A sample written in third person. Show us your prose! Minimum 200 words.)

And there you have it!

Name: Beyond Birthday [aliases: B, Backup, Rue Ryuzaki, etc. - thinks of himself as B; usually introduces himself as Ryuzaki]]
Age: Never specified in canon; estimated around 20 years.
Species: Human, with minor shinigami traits.

Series: Death Note - Another Note [spinoff novel detailing events referenced in both the manga and anime versions of Death Note]
OU/AU: OU
Canon Point: August 22, 2002, just after parting ways with Naomi Misora to begin the “stakeout.”

History: There are articles at both Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Death_Note_characters#Beyond_Birthday) and the Death Note Wiki (http://deathnote.wikia.com/wiki/Beyond_Birthday), but neither is terribly complete or accurate; my own canon history write-up follows:

There are not many specific facts known about Beyond Birthday from the text of Another Note before the events of the story in question. What is known, however, is that both of his parents were killed when he was quite young - his father was murdered by a thug, his mother died in a train crash - and he was eventually brought to the Wammy’s House orphanage in Winchester, England, to participate in a rigorous detective training program as B - Backup for the genius detective L.

B was the second candidate enrolled in the program, a child with a brilliant mind and an eccentric demeanor; the first candidate, A, was unable to cope with the various pressures of the intense training program and committed suicide. B excelled in the program for many years, yet ultimately was not chosen as L’s successor, for reasons not specified. It is speculated, however, that the first generation of trainees was perhaps meant to act as prototypes for the program, never intended to actually succeed as a successor to L. B disappeared from the House around May of 2002 - again, for reasons not specified - shortly before orchestrating what would come to be known as the Los Angeles BB Murder Cases in July and August of that same year.

The series of elaborate, grisly killings involved three victims, each seemingly unrelated to the next, save for the fact that each was found in a room locked from the inside, a decreasing number of Wara Ningyo dolls was nailed to the walls of the rooms where the victims were found, and each victim’s first and last name began with the same letter. Believe Bridesmaid, a 44-year-old freelance writer, was drugged and asphyxiated to death with a rope, with post-mortem cuts made on his chest, a code designed to indicate the second victim. Quarter Queen, a 13-year-old girl, was drugged and killed via blunt force trauma to her head; her eyes were crushed in post-mortem. Backyard Bottomslash, a 28-year-old bank worker, died from severe blood loss when her left arm and right leg were hacked off; the arm was never recovered.
08 07 11 (UTC) - Beyond Birthday || Death Note || OU || Reserved || Part 2
The serial murders attracted L’s attention, just as B intended, and L enlisted the assistance of a suspended FBI agent named Naomi Misora in investigating the murders. B approached Naomi at the scene of the first murder, introducing himself as an “unprivate detective” named Rue Ryuzaki who had been hired by the murder victims’ families to investigate the murder, independent of the police. Under the guise of cooperative investigation, B skillfully led Naomi through the obscure clues he’d left behind at the scene of each murder, pointing to the location of the fourth and final murder. B’s intent at the final scene was to commit suicide by setting himself on fire after setting it up to look like another murder, and thus leave L with a puzzle he could never solve. This, in B’s mind, would prove that he was better than L. Naomi, however, was able to piece together the final clues and determine Ryuzaki’s identity as the killer, B, and place him under arrest before he was able to succeed in his suicide plot, though not before B was able to badly burn himself.

B spent the next year and a half recovering from his extensive burn injuries while serving a life sentence in prison for his crimes and died of a mysterious heart attack on January 21, 2004, one of the many, many victims of Kira and the Death Note.

Personality: The primary thing to know about B is that he is a bona fide genius, albeit a peculiar one - at first glance, there’s just something a little bit off about him. His eccentric manner is heavily influenced by the fact that he has possessed the eyes of a shinigami since birth. The eyes of a shinigami, or death god, allow anyone who possesses them to view any live human’s name and natural life span. The ability to view life spans is the ability to view death, and B has been surrounded with reminders of death from the day he was born. As a result of both this and the fact he was orphaned at an early age, B’s world view is a little more emotionally distant and off-kilter than the average, well-adjusted person. B has experienced a great deal of loss in his life, so his personality - his true personality, which is almost always hidden under the facade of his “Rue Ryuzaki” persona in the novel - is a bit subdued and melancholy, with a tendency toward slow-boiling, intense anger. He will often appear emotionally detached in some aspects, but he is not entirely unfeeling - on the contrary, he feels quite a lot, but has been trained over the years to present a mask of impassivity to the world. In the novel, it’s only when B is alone that we get a few short glimpses of the person he truly is.

B does not, for the most part, maintain close relationships. Since he has been surrounded with reminders of death his entire life, and since he lost both of his parents at an early age, B learned early on in life not to allow himself to form attachments with many other people. He craves affection, attention, and meaningful relationships, however, precisely because he has not had them, and once he was brought to the Wammy’s House orphanage and enrolled in the training program there, B fixated on his absentee role model - the great detective L. L became the object of B’s attention in an obsessive, idol-worship kind of way; L was the only thing that mattered to B.

This sense of disconnect from other people and sense of loss in general is, among other things, a large part in why B’s personality is so obsessive in nature. He clings to things he holds dear because he knows he will, eventually, lose them.

B is also driven, rational and calculating - once he has a goal in mind, B does not give up. His determination is perhaps his greatest character strength. He has been trained to meet his goal by whatever means necessary, even if they are sometimes questionable [such as committing a series of grisly murders], but he is not amoral; B is neither a sociopath nor a psychopath.

fanged_wings: ([Agito] Explaining)
SPOILER ALERT

History: To understand Akito's background, first you must explore his mother's. Gazelle was a Brain Charger, the first in fact. In a world of Air Treck, motorised rollerblades with two wheels that were able to make you 'fly', Gazelle was given 'wings'. She was known as the Wings of Beginning, the first to be able to fly on AT and truly want to. Her talents on Air Treck earned her the title of Thorn Queen, one of the eight best riders, the Kings and Queens of the AT world. However, her wings were sought after by the Gravity Children. Whereas Gazelle's wings were given to her, Gravity Children were created to be the same. However they lacked the desire to truly fly. So Gazelle was wanted by the two most powerful, Sora and Nick Takeuchi. Gazelle ran from them, and along the way met Kaito Wanijima. The two fell in love, but it wasn't to last. Gazelle tired of running and in a final act, committed suicide while in the freezing waters of the Arctic.

Her body was recovered by the same scientist who made her, and from it was retrieved the child inside her. He was aged up slightly, in order to survive, and he was sent to his father, Kaito, who named him Akito. Within him lay a second personality, known as Lind. Lind was the personality and memories of Gazelle, essentially the same person. However, Lind grew dormant and eventually Akito forgot about his presence.

Taught to call Kaito 'Onii-chan' or brother, most likely due to the now lessened age difference, Akito grew up with his brother, who taught him to AT. At the age of eleven, he gained the title of Fang King. However this came with a price.

The Bloody Road that he was King of hurt other riders. One night, he accidentally killed others as he rode. Akito's personality didn't allow this. He was too innocent, too naive. He'd been unable to see that he was hurting others, and Kaito's praise had carried him through it. But when he finally killed, he broke down completely. It also didn't help that that night, Kaito arrived with the cage. "You're complete, my pet," was the last thing he heard while free.

Confined to the small spherical cage and betrayed by his older brother, Akito broke down completely. His mind shattered in two. He refused to ride again, no matter what Kaito did to him. Even through the whipping, the rubber bullets fired at him, he would not ride. And in the depths of his mind where he cried, a voice rose.

'What...you don't wanna ride? Then...I'll ride for you.'

That was the instant that Agito was born. The darker side, Agito was created to be the tool Kaito wanted while still giving Akito his innocence. An eyepatch dictated the control, the left eye belonging to Akito while the right was Agito. The dark instantly proved himself to be a better rider than Akito had by willingly and almost gleefully tearing apart his opponents. And despite his harsh demeanour, all of this was only to allow Akito to be safe.

After a time, Agito lost his title of Fang King, and the symbol of it, the Fang Regalia, to another. But despite this, it would lead to the teen's freedom. During a match, Agito met the one who was thought to be destined for the sky, the Sky King-to-be, the greatest of all riders. Itsuki Minami, more commonly known as Ikki. Agito abandoned his 'brother' and rode after the other teen, who stunned him into stopping. And showed Agito and Akito what it was to fly.

The two refused to go back to Kaito after that. They stayed with Ikki, Agito becoming the fifth and final member of the team Kogarasumaru. It was only awhile after joining that the match with the team Behemoth came up. And Agito got his chance to regain the Fang Regalia, and his title of Fang King. It was with Ikki's help that he regained the Regalia, only to end up hurt as Kaito's police swad raided the area. With a broken collarbone and now massive bruising and welts from the rubber bullets and whip, it was the last thing that happened to the teen pre-game.

Name: Yomiel
Age: 20ish?
Species: Zombie Human Undead human

Series: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
OU/AU: OU
Canon Point: Just before Chapter 16
History: Here (http://ghosttrick.wikia.com/wiki/Yomiel)!
Personality:

Yomiel is an extremely complex character. His story brings together all the strange happenings in the game through his madness and grief.

On the surface, Yomiel appears aloof, but at least a bit friendly. He doesn't seem to be bothered by much, coasting through life without much trouble. He's a little snarky, but he doesn't really seem to mean anything horrible by it - that's just how he is.

Under that, though, is a much different story. Yomiel holds grudges for an extremely long time. He's held a grudge against the people who 'killed him' - forced him into the situation where he died - and he plans to enact that revenge. Five years ago, he made a little girl think that she killed her mother to get back at a detective who cornered him in a park, and during the night of the events of the game, he tries to kill the girl he held hostage, the inspector who pushed him too hard, and the detective who cornered him. None of these people were at fault in reality, but in Yomiel's twisted mind they held all the blame. He wanted them to feel alone and lost, feel the pain that he did. He doesn't care about 'right' or 'wrong' as defined by society. All that matters is what works out for him in the course of pursing his goals.

Even so… through all of that, Yomiel is bitter at everything. His fiance is dead, a cat is his only friend - or was, until he was hit by a bullet during the night's events - and he hates his own powers. He wants them gone, which is why he's willing to make a deal with Sith and his people. He just wants to grow old and die, and live out his life the way a normal person does. He's lonely, and he doesn't want anyone to see it. He feels guilty about taking a hostage ten years ago, but the rest of his mind is too twisted by bitterness - and maybe guilt, too - to let him do anything really positive with these feelings.
08 08 11 (UTC) - Yomiel || Ghost Trick || OU || Reseved 2/2 Nondumbass edition AGAIN?
Powers:

'Mundane' powers first! Yomiel is good at manipulating people with words - he can figure out what they want to hear and make a good-sounding deal with them. He's got a sharp mind, and uses it to program computers - he's not going to be that happy about Meridian having none of those.

Through the powers of Temsik radiation, Yomiel has a number of supernatural abilities. As he says, the radiation gives ghosts 'power' and 'time'.

Time: Yomiel does not age, as long as the meteor is embedded in him. If shot or otherwise injured, his body reverts back to how it was at the moment of death, effectively making him immortal.

Power: Yomiel can possess both things and people. He can possess and manipulate objects (even more than one at a time) over a fairly long range. He can also take over humans (or animals) and force them to do things they wouldn't normally do. People with a strong will can partly resist this.

He can also travel through phone lines, but… this isn't really relevant in Meridian.

Weaknesses:

If the fragment of the meteorite is removed from his body, Yomiel will no longer be immortal. Strong-willed people are harder to control as well.

Personality-wise… he blames others for things he's done, even if it was his fault. His rage and anger and revenge blinds him and sometimes that makes it so he can't think clearly, or see important things in front of him.
Possessions: His sunglasses. This is very important. (And probably a spare set of sunglasses.)
Marking Location: On his right shoulderblade.
Miscellaneous: I wear my sunglasses at night.

First Person:

[There's a sharp-dressed man standing on your second level, Meridian. He looks around, and then down, the movement of his head and body the only signs of this due to his dark sunglasses.]

Hm. Now would someone like to tell me how the heck I got up here? Seriously, from under the sea to above a city. It's kind of disorienting.

[He shoves his hands in his pockets and starts to walk.]

I can tell my physical body is in some bar.

[He stares down at the city again.]

What the heck happened here? Looks like someone dropped a bomb or something on it. Was this place really such a hellhole that it had to be nuked?

[… Shrug.]

Guess it's not my problem. I can tell there's other people here, though. Come on out.

[He smirks, briefly. Maybe he should make them come out… it'd be easy enough.]

Third Person:

Yomiel wasn't happy about this arrangement. He had been so close - at least until someone had started messing up his plans. Whoever that ghost was, he was a huge problem with his deals. People were alive that shouldn't be, two of the assassins were gone - though he didn't care about them, they had been pains to work with - and Jowd wasn't dead yet. He had controlled that Minister to sign the order, so what was taking them so long?

He didn't trust Sith in the least. Still, he and his country had good technology, and if he could get his own body and a new life, that's all he wanted. Nothing would replace Sissel - either of them - but at least this way he could be satisfied. The meteorite... it gave him power and time and he never asked for either, but he wasn't going to complain about having the ability to do what he wanted or needed. No, what he hated was the people who had forced him into that situation. The inspector, the detective, the girl... they'd all pay. That's all he wanted before he left this country.

The Youna surfaced, and broke him out of his thoughts. It was time to make a deal and get out of here. He'd leave this all behind and start again.

CHARACTER INFO
Name: Alice Liddell
Age: 19
Species: Human

Series: American McGee's Alice / Alice: Madness Returns ( the original game and the sequel, respectively. )
OU/AU: OU
Canon Point: After the second game's ending.
History: over at the wiki.

Personality: There's one thing that must be first and foremost said about Alice, since it's practically something you can't deny while playing through the games. Alice is crazy. Quite literally, too - she has spent several years stuck in an asylum after her house (and the rest of her family still in it) burned down. The incident in which her family died and her years in the asylum combined were enough to literally make the little girl go insane. Of course, Alice has always been somewhat prone to wandering off into her own world; anyone who has read the Alice in Wonderland and Beyond the Lookin Glass books can attest to this. But the incident and the asylum only made this habit worse. She suffers from constant delusions in her own world, up to a point where right before the third chapter of the second game starts her reality and Wonderland start blurring. Mushrooms grow on the streets, the skies turn red and a big fantastical train runs across the sky in the middle of a city, Wonderland is slowly seeping into the real world for her. (Her delusions should be controllable (or at least more controllable) from the canon point I'm taking her from though, since she has solved most of her problems by then.) The corruption of Wonderland from a more or less happy and surprising place into a dark and grim place in the games symbolizes what happened to Alice. (Certain parts of the game even directly mirror some things in her real life, like the asylum and Tweedledee and Tweedledum (based on actual helpers who bullied her in the asylum) in the first game.) Because of everything she was corrupted as well, growing up from a young, innocent and curious girl into something else, a broken and insane young woman.

Along with this change Alice's attitude has changed a bit as well. She is the kind of person who always speaks her mind, even if her thoughts might be more than just a bit rude. Because of this she can even come off as insensitive at times, or just downright rude - even the Cheshire Cat remarks in the very beginning of the first game that Alice has 'picked up a bit of an attitude'. She's very to the point in her conversations and dislikes having long detours during said conversations. Alice is used to people speaking vaguely or in riddles (since most Wonderland inhabitants seem to be fond of doing that) but she still doesn't tolerate it, instead forcing her own question or point across to them and trying to have them answer. She's often very snarky or sarcastic during her conversations; at least Alice seems to have kept her wits even throughout her insanity. It's demonstrated by pieces of game conversations like these:

TURTLE: And I'm not ungrateful... You're an honorary reptile!
ALICE: Lucky me...

JABBERWOCK: You've kept me waiting, Alice. Have you never heard that punctuality's a virtue?
ALICE: You and my dentist's assistant have much in common.
08 08 11 (UTC) - Alice Liddell || American McGee's Alice || OU || Reserved || 2 / ?
devilism: (Default)
Because she speaks her mind a lot, it's easy to guess her opinion about people. She doesn't speak positively about people unless she really does like them or consider them a friend. Even the Caterpillar, who helps her out pretty often, is often somewhat trashtalked by her. ('I remember him well. Thin-skinned. Ill-tempered. Smokes too much. Disagreeable smell. Why do I need him?') You really have to earn respect with Alice before she will give you that respect in her conversations with you. She also doesn't particularly seem to like relying on other people a lot or having to follow someone else's lead - she complains about the unseen oracle in the cave of oracles when it tells her what she has to do to defeat the Red Queen. ('Obscure allusions to chess are fine, but it troubles me that anonymous oracles know more of my business than I do.' And then, later on: 'It talks like I'm on holiday, Cat. Wandering about, having a bit of fun. The oracle's an idiot.')

Alice is a very determined person. Once she has a goal or an idea in mind, it's hard to convince her to give up on it or change her mind - she will carry it out until the very end, one way or another. Then again, Alice is the kind of person who doesn't give up easily in general. She doesn't have much of a reason to give up usually - she's pretty much fearless, especially at first impression. She faces hideous monsters with little to no fear ever passing her face. She keeps her calm in the most dangerous of fights. When someone tells her that she shouldn't face the Red Queen or her minions since they're too powerful, she just replies with 'I'm not afraid of her, or her creatures. Never was, really. You should stand up to them.' And the sentiment is genuine; she really doesn't fear the monsters. She doesn't even fear death, as she admits to the Caterpillar that she isn't afraid to die. In fact, she has even welcomed death at times (possibly since she would rather die than live on without her family in the asylum). Hatter, however, reveals that it's not completely true, there are things Alice does fear; like the confrontation with her past (the incident with her house burning down and the memories of the asylum) or the loss of the people she cares for.

ALICE: I fear nothing.
HATTER: False. You fear much... a return trip to the asylum, for example... the memories that drove you there... more years in, shall we say, supervised hospitalization... ah yes, you fear much.

Alice is a violent person as shown by her fighting style, in which she mercilessly takes on monsters with her weapons - some are even decapicated, stomped on by her in giant form or slaughtered in other gruesome ways. But she isn't unnecessarily cruel - she only becomes violent when someone has true enraged her or they deserve it. When Tweedledee and Tweedledum taunt her about her past in the asylum in the first game, she becomes enraged and slaughters them. The same happens to Bumby in the second game, as she shoves him under a train without remorse for everything he has done to her and her family (and the other children). One could say she practically lives off one of the quotes the Cheshire Cat gives us in the game - 'Confront what frightens or offends you. Reckless or insulting talk should never go unchallenged.' Alice does tend to somewhat go over the top at times, for example when the Cheshire Cat tells her to give a book a tap and she instead shoves the entire book off a platform so it falls all the way to the ground. ('You call that a tap? Fortunate I didn't suggest force. You might have pulverized it.') Alice is, as her very direct and speaking-her-mind attitude implies, not a very subtle person. And it shows in her fighting style as well.

WEEOO WEEOO SPOILERS ETC IF YOU CARE

Once upon a time in the future, there was a small company named CyberConnect corporation. They had splintered off of a larger company that had made the first standard operating system for the world after the global network crashed. C3's flagship project was an MMORPG, whose release edition was called "The World". Unbeknownst to basically anyone, "The World" was actually a secret creation program developed by man known as Harald Hoerwick, to develop an AI "daughter" who he called Aura. This, of course, caused problems when the system designed to create said AI daughter, named Morganna, decided it didn't want to "die" after Aura was "born"...

Through the efforts of several players, Aura was finally born and Morganna's functions were either absorbed into Aura's functionality or destroyed. Peace and prosperity reigned throughout the global network, and "The World" entered a golden age of crazy chibi characters and vaguely-hinted twincest. I mean...

However, there were still some fragments of Morganna kicking around. These were the remnants of what had been called the Eight Phases. Data-gathering utilities given life through the programming of the game world and motivation from their angry "mother", these entities had been the forefront of Morganna's assault against the system forcing her to follow her programming and then die. They were systematically destroyed, their data rewritten and core essences shattered and left to sink to the bottom of "The World" where they remained, inert and undiscovered and largely forgotten.

Then, one day Aura disappeared. Nobody knew how or why, but she was gone. While she had been rather fickle and unpredictable, she had also been the lynchpin of the entire net. Without her presence, there was a systemwide slowdown, and a great instability began to spread throughout the global network. Despairing that they would lose their largest source of revenue, C3 gathered those who were privy to the maintenance of the game, especially pertaining to the knowledge of the existence of the AIs. This group became the members of what was called Project GU. One of the key members of this group was a man named Jun Banshoya.

The ideal behind Project GU was to recreate Aura and thus restore stability to the network. However, the inner workings of the game itself were hidden inside the impenetrable Black Box of code left by Harald and normally only accessible by Aura. Thus, in order to try to create a new AI, the Project GU team was left to use what was readily available to them... which were the various remnants of Morganna, primarily the inert data of the Eight Phases. Ideally, if an AI like Morganna could be reconstructed, but with specific controls placed on her, then she would be completely manageable by the system and there would be little risk.

It was then discovered that not just anyone could wield an Epitaph PC. Only one specific person could control each one. Anyone else attempting to would begin to feel dizzy and sick. Jyotaro came to the fast conclusion that only a specific type of person could utilize each Phase's abilities effectively. A search was put out for the eight "chosen ones". In the meantime, the rest of the Phases were tracked down and placed into their appropriate Epitaph PCs. In order to retrieve the sixth Phase, Macha the Temptress, Jyotaro tracked down its current incarnation, an NPC named Mia, and destroyed her to harvest the data from her without even blinking. With the Epitaph PCs prepared, and the candidates located, preparations for the first test were underway.
08 12 11 (UTC) - Re: Kazumi || .hack//GU + || OU || Not Reserved 2/8
At this point, however, Jun began to get cold feet. He knew a great deal about the previous history of The World, including the struggles with Morganna. A rogue entity known as Cubia, the anti-existence, had arisen as a means to counterbalance the great power of the infamous Twilight Bracelet. Jun was concerned that the imbalance of power presented by the Epitaph PCs would create an anti-existence. He did a bit of clandestine investigation and discovered evidence that an anti-existence even more powerful than the previous one was being created. He brought his concerns to Jyotaro, asking him to hold off on the R.A. Plan until they could find some way to keep the anti-existence under control or even nullify it, but Jyotaro laughed and claimed that there was no such thing. From his actions of late, Jun had begun to notice a certain mania to Jyotaro's actions. It seemed that Jyotaro was more obsessed with surpassing Harald than anything else, and that he would go through with the RA Plan with little regard to safety or risk. Rather afraid of Jyotaro by this point, Jun did the only thing he could think of that would stall the Plan: he secretly stole the Epitaph PC of the seventh Phase, Tarvos the Avenger, and hid it away on his computer.

However, Jyotaro was not called the genius of his age for nothing. He had begun to suspect Jun of treachery, and had prepared for such an occasion. He presented a backup plan, consisting of a dummy Epitaph PC for himself to use in place of Tarvos and its now useless Chosen One. With a now "complete" roster of Epitaph PCs, he began the execution of the RA Plan in earnest. Unfortunately, the RA Plan failed to get off the ground. To prevent the birth of the new anti-existence once and for all, Jun set a fire that quickly consumed the C3 building. Due to the fires, 80% of The World's data was lost, and six of the involved Epitaphs escaped into the game data. Accepting all responsibility for the incident, Jun disappeared from the public eye. Unable to accept that someone he had believed in so strongly could simply abandon their vision - and thus leave his own vision unfulfilled - Jyotaro began to question Jun's motives and actions so much that he drove himself insane.

Of course, nobody knew or cared what happened to the Dummy Epitaph PC. It was just a placeholder, after all. Or was it? By the end, Jyotaro believed himself to be superior to Harald, who had managed to immortalize himself within the previous version of The World after a fashion. Jyotaro's goal was the same - or for himself to become the new "God" to manage the system in place of an AI. Jun believed that there was no place for technology without a heart, and that Jyotaro's failure came about because he did not "love" The World. Jyotaro disappeared from the history of C3 as well...

Merging the remaining game data with another one of their projects, C3 created The World R:2. At first it was rather buggy, but slowly C3 began to work out patches to help the system work. Unfortunately, strange issues beyond simple bugs began to arise. A mysterious entity consisting of fluid black dots, a character who could put PCs into comas by killing them in-game, and a mysterious player with an arm bound in a metal container... this was all part of the legacy that Jun left for his sister, Reiko Saeki. Determining that she was the chosen one of Tarvos, he sent her all his information and evidence, beseeching her to try to get to the bottom of the strange events and work to help stabilize The World once and for all. Upon learning of the story she took up his mantle, hiding her relationship to her brother so that she would be hired at C3 and recover the Tarvos Epitaph PC. With her newly-made Epitaph PC, Pi, she started working with C3's own internal Security Department, Safety Division 2 under an individual she knew only as "Kazumi", before she was transferred to something called Project GU, who worked solely with investigating the strange phenomena beleaguering The World.

08 14 11 (UTC) - MOMO Mizrahi || Xenosaga || OU || Not Reserved || 2/5
History: [THE XENOSAGA WIKI SUCKS. Have the most concise history I've been able to manage.]

MOMO's from a time when humans no longer know where Earth is, and live scattered throughout the universe. She's a Realian, which is basically an artificial human. What they're made of ranges from silicone to artificial skin and organs, depending on what they're made for. MOMO is not only a transgenic Realian (meaning she's as close to human as possible), but she was specially designed to have features most other Realians don't.

She was originally meant to be a helper for her creator's, Joachim Mizrahi's, daughter Sakura, who had a disease that made her unable to interact with the world around her. When Sakura, who had been living with her mother Juli, died, Joachim first tried to reincarnate her consciousness in MOMO and, upon realizing it was impossible, allowed a new consciousness to form and built her to be the prototype of the 100-series Realians. These Realians would observe and help when dealing with dangerous monsters called the Gnosis.

Shortly before she was activated a conflict - the Miltian Conlict - broke out on the planet Miltia, near where she had been built. This conflict ended with Joachim dead and believed to have summoned Gnosis into the world. Where previously they had only come sporadically, suddenly they came in large groups and much more often.

Not long after all of this, MOMO was finally born, or rather, activated. As she was made to essentially be a twelve year old, she acted similar to one from the moment of her birth. Regardless, she was officially registered as the daughter of both Juli and Joachim Mizrahi and was sent to the Federation capital of Fifth Jerusalem. She didn't get to spend much time with Juli, however, as her mother had absolutely no desire to see her and spent as much time away from her as possible.

MOMO was, quite likely, closely monitored while she grew up. However, fourteen years passed mostly uneventfully. Eventually it was discovered that Joachim had left important data inside MOMO, the Y-Data. This obviously meant that she could no longer live as peacefully as she once had. She was to be sent to the planet of Second Miltia, where the data could be analyzed by the government. Before that could happen though, she was kidnapped then rescued by the cyborg Ziggurat 8. She quickly gave him the nickname Ziggy and would soon come to see him as a father figure. (Because Mommy didn't love her, baaaaaawwww).

...Back to MOMO and Ziggy! They fled and were soon helped by the crew of a ship named the Elsa. They found that they were heading to the same planet so they traveled together and it didn't take long for them all to become friends, along with the people who joined them soon after.

08 19 11 (UTC) - Cynder || The Legend of Spyro || OU || Reserved || 2 of 5
Personality: Cynder's an interesting mixture of emotions, when you look at her. The dragoness tries to show herself off as a proud and strong individual, but inside there's a lot of turmoil.

One of her defining qualities that she tries to hide is guilt. Cynder's spent most of her life being evil and under the control of the Dark Master. As a result of being returned to her normal form, she holds a lot of guilt for all the damage she's done during her past. People often remind her of it, and she doesn't really appreciate it. Those who do it in jest, like Sparx, makes her annoyed, and those who are truly angry or afraid of her upsets her. She wishes she could forget that time, but the constant reminders don't help. She tends to question her own actions when those who are evil try to prove that her actions have helped rather than hindered them. Did she believe she was doing right? Or was she being used and controlled?

Despite this, she's also a very serious and loyal dragon. She'd do anything to help out a friend, and because of all the evil that she knows, she's knowledgeable about such things. She takes evil and bad things very seriously, and will do anything to stop them. Her want to stop the Dark Master is great, and it's given her a bit of a vendetta against all things evil. She is very much not the damsel in distress now she's older. Anything that gets in her way can expect to get its butt kicked. She sometimes has issues with letting other people lead the way, but she understands when it's for the best that she follows. Sometimes.

Cynder's also a bit sarcastic and snarky when she talks. She's not afraid to speak her mind. When Spark is going on about something in that way he does (being terrified of all things bad), she's often the one who tells him to be quiet, or gives him a sarcastic reply. She doesn't really play along with the humour things, because most of them annoy her. Despite this, she does have a sense of wonder that can show up. She appreciates things that are pretty and beautiful, and is conscious of things around her.

And there's also her love for Spyro. His unquestioning support of her, always going to try and help her when the Dark Master is attempting to coax her back to his side, has touched her heart. She loves him dearly and would do absolutely anything to ensure his safety. And when he's about to do something supremely stupid (like make her leave when he's going to do something that could kill him), she always knocks some sense into him, literally if she has to. Cynder will stand by him no matter what.

Name: Spyro
Age: 12 (probably?)
Species: Dragon (Artisan Dragon)

Series: Spyro the Dragon (original series)
OU/AU: OU
Canon Point: After Year of the Dragon
History: Here (”http://spyro.wikia.com/wiki/Spyro_the_Dragon_%28character%29#Story”).
Personality:

Spyro is a brave young dragon, eager to prove his worth and smash any enemies in his way. He doesn’t like backing down from a challenge in the slightest, no matter what kind of weird minigame task is put in front of him. He’s considered a hero in the Dragon Realms, Avalar, and to some degree in the Forgotten Realms, too. To some degree, this goes to his head, but he doesn’t usually bring it up a ton. He’s quite cocky for the most part, but that might be more due to his young age than anything else. As for his priorities...

Objective 1: Collect Loot!

Okay, while loot may not be Spyro’s first priority, there’s definitely a reason Flare Elevar’s Spyro Let’s Play has that as the thread title. Spyro loves his gems, as any proper dragon should, and when enemies are standing in between him and his gems (or are transformed from gems into enemies, for that matter)... well, they just have to go, don’t they? It doesn’t matter that the treasure is usually stolen from the Dragon Realms - collecting treasure is collecting treasure. Freeing dragons, collecting talismans and orbs, or finding dragon eggs - yeah, that’s important, but treasure is awesome. This is one of the reasons Moneybags annoys him so much - he makes him pay for things! What is this nonsense?!

In terms of interpersonal relationships, Spyro makes friends fairly quickly, despite his tendency to be cocky and rude. People call on him for things - big things, like saving the world, and little things, like training a manta ray. This might be because he’s usually the most able creature in the area, but Spyro knows that if he has trouble with something there’s usually at least a few people he can call on... if he doesn’t try to charge headfirst into the problem himself. His best friend is Sparx, the dragonfly who’s his best friend and partially his protector, and the two are almost never seen apart.

Powers:
- Charging: Those horns aren’t just for show! Spyro can charge into an enemy, disarming them or just attacking them to pixel poofing death. He can also destroy objects with his charge.
- Fire breath: Well, he is a dragon! Spyro’s basic flame attack can set objects or enemies on fire. It’s best for taking down larger enemies that can’t be charged. It cannot melt metal, however.
- Jumping/gliding/hovering: Spyro can jump and glide short distances, and hover briefly to get a little extra height.
- Swimming: Spyro can swim! He can also dive, and charge underwater.
- Headbash: Spyro can leap into the air, do a somersault, and smash into the ground (or whatever he’s targeting).
- Climbing: Yes, he can climb ladders with those claws. No, I don’t know how. He can also jump off of them.
Weaknesses:
- Charging: Large enemies are too meaty for him to charge and do any damage, as a general rule.
- Fire breath: It is useless against metal.
- Jumping/gliding/hovering: He can’t fly freely outside of worlds that don’t have an abundance of magic designed for flight.
- Swimming: Spyro cannot breathe fire underwater, and he’s not terribly maneuverable underwater, either.

Spyro’s mouth gets him into trouble sometimes, too. Not everyone takes so well to his boasting (though he usually defeats them anyway).
Possessions: Nothing! What, like a dragon needs clothes?
Marking Location: His stomach.
Miscellaneous: Time to kick some Gnorc butt!

Name: Atoli
Age: 18
Species: Human-AIDA symbiote

Series: .hack//GU
OU/AU: AU
Canon Point: Post-death
History: Take one generic AU where the game is real, mix with one AU where Atoli saves herself at Moon Tree instead of Haseo, sprinkle with evil for flavor. ♥

Atoli was the single daughter of two ridiculously strict parents. Her days were spent hoping for the affection of her parents, only to be scolded and berated. Her school days were spent always going to classes they chose, with people who hated her, because her parents wanted her to be quiet, out of the way, and attract no attention. Over time, Atoli grew to accept this. Then luck paid off one day when one of her teachers had witnessed the 'spark of talent' in her - a human who could harness arcane magics, a rare breed. And to transfer to the city with the mage schools, she only needed her parents permission.

Her parents said no.

Which was the last straw. Sick of being berated for her whole childhood, she wanted a life she could be proud of. Atoli forged the signature of her father, packed her bags with that few things she could carry, and ran away all the way to the mages' academy in Meridian, informally known as Mac Anu.

Contact with her parents was severed, so her only lifeline was her school. And all the other students did was berate her and shun her even worse. Hissing words behind her back while she bit her lip and pretended it didn't bother her. And every day after classes, her place was a pier staring out at the ocean, wondering if she was the only one cursed like this...

During one of these lonesome days, someone came to speak with her. It was unprompted, and Atoli said nothing, so the time was filled with him speaking of the gentle winds and the sun reflecting off the ocean and the centuries of history embedded in each brick at her feet, and how someone of such a sweet spirit shouldn't be so melancholy. He introduced himself as Sakaki, the leader of Moon Tree, and he was the first to capture Atoli's smiles.

The days passed in her schooling some more, meeting Sakaki in front of the fountain during lunch and after classes, staring into the sea and talking about trivial things. At first, only Sakaki would speak, but soon Atoli would being to talk as well. Coming out of her forced shell of misery by society, and becoming the kind girl she should have been. Sakaki became her anchor, and she would tell him each time the students would break her desk, or how she would cut her wrists at night, but never deep enough to kill herself because she lacked the courage. And Sakaki would make the pain dissolve.

One of these days was when Sakaki explained his aspirations. How Zelkova was the actual leader of Moon Tree, but did nothing. So Sakaki ruled from the sidelines, taking a child's ideal for peace into something concrete, and how he wanted more than just that. He had his own ideals, to revive a lost goddess, a ghost of the unreachable third level. How there was proof she came down once before, and if she came again everyone would remember. That being cruel to others and promoting hatred, these people would never be forgiven. And between Atoli's adoration of Sakaki and how easily their feelings matched, she joined his ideals, and became a member of Sakaki's personal division of Moon Tree.

As she neared the middle years of her studying, her grades picked up. She moved into accelerated courses, going on field lessons for the fighter classes to heal them during their real-time fights, and became a powerful healer in her own right. When she wasn't in school, she would help Sakaki bring in new recruits and tell him about her day. He would smile, and listen, and tell her she did a good job, and that was all she ever wanted to hear. Because it meant the moment she graduated, she could devote everything she had into being useful for this person who cared so much for her.
08 20 11 (UTC) - Atoli || .hack//GU || AU || Not Reserved =2/WORDS WORDS=
Atoli was never allowed into Sakaki's inner circle due to her schooling, but after she graduated she was one of the most-known members of the guild. Graduating at the top ten of her class, given the highest grade of an S-Rank Cleric. She would still remain near the schoolgrounds, honing her skills to perfection with constant use. On the days she wasn't helping, she would stand near the warp portals into the Wilds, healing those who came back and offering them a place in Moon Tree. After a while, this action of hers became commonplace, and soon other Moon Tree Clerics would station near portals in other cities, spreading the word as they passed. If was perfect publicity, and for proving herself, Atoli was given the position as Sakaki's right-hand confidant. All that was needed was the paperwork and the Initiation, for those who truly devote their whole lives to the Goddess Aura's revival.

Atoli's Cloud Nine the whole next week was contagious, going out of her way to help everyone who came into the city. All but drowning them in healing and good will the whole time. It was during this week she first encountered Haseo, who did nothing but mistake her for someone else and, instead of apologizing, lashed out at her and stormed off like it was her fault. But goddammit this was her best week ever and no butthurt warrior was going to ruin it! Haseo became her pet project, following him out of the city and preaching the ways of Moon Tree, while his lashing out at her got progressively worse and worse, to even the point where Sakaki recommended her to back down. But it was a test Atoli put herself through, to see if she was worth being Sakaki's adviser.

But one day it was too much, and she ran back to the city. To the one balcony overlooking the sea she loved so much, wondering if it was worth it. And just like the first time, another person came to speak with her. Talking about everything and nothing, and then how he knew Haseo well. The man named Ovan told her the reason, why Haseo hated her so, because she was a veritable twin of a woman he loved. Killed by a monster known as Tri-Edge. Haseo hated her because he constantly mistook her as a copy for another person.

This filled Atoli with a renewed vigor, needing to prove she was worth something than just a copy or a doll to be silent. And she asked Sakaki to help her find this way, and he showed her the special tallent she possessed. The two left to one of the othermost areas of the Delta Region, the fabled Morrigu Barrow wall, and Sakaki motioned to a strange mark embedded into the wall. He was saying... something, but all Atoli could hear was a strange ringing in her ears, to the point where she covered one to try and track the sound. Leading her right up to the sign Sakaki stood near. His only response was a smile. 'You can find things other people can't. You are perfect to stand at my side'. And her heart lept out of her chest.

With this she could help Sakaki! And prove to Haseo she was useful! And after a discussion with Sakaki, she would follow the sound and help Haseo, then return to be at Sakaki's side. As she got closer to the sound, the sigil activated, bringing Atoli to a large white expanse. Getting there before even Haseo. But all she could do was watch as he fought this blue flamed zombie, defeated it with some kind of... giant monster? And in the time it took to hit a resonant cord in her, she was felled by the sentient disease AIDA, and her spirit was stolen from her.

Atoli woke up much later, completely unable to speak. All she could do was listen to the conversation Haseo and a couple of undercover cops. About how she had, somewhere along her time, entered a life bond with a god of the third level. When this god was taken, parts of Atoli were taken with it, as per the bond, and slowly she would die unless it was returned. Additionally, some strange barrier formed around the Delta Region, blocking all entrance or exit, and the city was in a barely-contained panic. Only prevented from getting worse thanks to Moon Tree units stationed everywhere, calming everyone with their solidified presence. She was told to stay in the hospital room she was in, but that night she snuck out back to Moon Tree. Back to Sakaki. She had to help him however possible.

Name: Souji Seta (technically, an unnamed Protagonist given a name by the player at the start of the game; I’ll be using the name given in the manga adaptation for simplicity’s sake).
Age: Never exactly specified in canon, estimated at 17. He’s just finished his second (junior) year of high school.
Species: Human

Series: Persona 4 (video game, with slight, necessary influences from the manga adaptation)
OU/AU: AU
Canon Point: 21 March 2012, after leaving Inaba (Bad Ending)

History: Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persona_4#Story) and Megami Tensei Wiki (”http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Protagonist_(Persona_4)”) both give excellent writeups of the plot events of Persona 4.

There are, however, three different possible outcomes, depending on which choices are made by the player in-game: Bad Ending, Normal Ending, or True Ending. True Ending is the most satisfying of the three, with Souji and his Investigation Team uncovering the truth of who is really responsible for the events of the past year. Normal Ending leaves everyone on a fairly happy note, only without having solved some of the deeper mysteries of the game. Bad Ending, however ... well, the name says it all, really. The story of the Bad Ending effectively comes to a halt in December 2011, after choosing to push Taro Namatame, suspected of committing the TV World murders, in the TV World to be “punished” (i.e., killed) by the Shadows that dwell there; the rationale for this decision is that since the TV World’s existence is so fantastical and the crimes so hard to prove, this is the only way to achieve justice for what he’d allegedly done. This confrontation comes on the heels of the apparent death of Nanako Dojima, Souji’s young cousin, who had been kidnapped and taken to the TV World by Namatame, and never recovered from the trauma. In this scenario, Souji and the Investigation Team give in to their emotions, at the expense of the search for truth, and the true culprits are never found and defeated, leaving the fog of the Shadow world to set in permanently, which will eventually result in all humans becoming Shadows themselves.

In this AU, Souji chose the Bad Ending path and left Inaba to return to his home in the city. Although the Bad Ending is a valid outcome for the game, it is usually not the preferred outcome - True Ending is generally recognized as the “OU” version of this story. Additionally, for the purposes of this AU, the city Souji hails from, while never named in the game, will be named Meridian. A series of catastrophic earthquakes coincided with Souji’s arrival, and Meridian was completely devastated. The train Souji was traveling on derailed, and all passengers (including Souji himself) died in the wreckage. He will not, however, be aware of the fact that he is dead.

Personality: Souji is a silent protagonist; as such, he is, to some extent, a blank slate - his dialogue and actions are chosen by the player throughout the game's progress. However, there are clues that can be gleaned and things that can be surmised based on what's available.

As a silent protagonist, he tends to keep quiet unless he has something meaningful to say. Souji's manner is polite and friendly but not overly warm - in fact, he can seem a little distant, especially to people with whom he’s not terribly close. (At the start of the game, there are several times he's called out on being "too formal," for example.) Years of being shuffled around from city to city thanks to his parents' work taught him how to make friends quickly but never really deeply - after all, what's the point in making a serious emotional investment when you know you're going to pick up and move soon? So Souji knows the proper things to say (he’s extremely well-mannered), and he knows how to get along with people, but for the most part, it's kind of on a superficial level - or it was, until his stay in Inaba. One of the main things Souji took away from his year in the rural town was how to form an unbreakable, deep bond (Social Link) with people.

That's not to say Souji doesn't care about people - he does! Very much so - who would take up an amateur murder investigation if they didn't care about seeking justice for the victims? (Or truth, for that matter - indeed, the pursuit of truth is Persona 4’s main overarching theme, and it’s not something that’s sought without a significant amount of effort.) Souji is shown throughout the game's events to be helpful and compassionate - it just takes a little effort to break past the distance he places between himself and other people. Generally speaking, Souji might well be classified as Neutral Good (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alignment_(Dungeons_%26_Dragons)#Neutral_Good).

He's typically a pretty level-headed kind of guy. You won't typically see Souji having huge outbursts or punching any walls (he'll leave that to Kanji), and even in the midst of a crisis, he's (usually) able to keep a cool head and execute a solid strategy. He’s also fairly charismatic by nature; even before he came into his Persona powers, Souji was known to exude an aura of mysterious coolness, as noted by some of the game’s other characters.

Also? Souji has a stomach of what basically amounts to cast iron. The boy will eat almost anything left in the fridge, regardless of how long it’s been sitting there (though he apparently does draw the line at non-food things like alarm clocks).

Changes for this AU: There's both a simple reason and a complicated reason why Souji opted to push Namatame into the TV.

The simple reason was that Namatame was responsible for Nanako's death, and Souji snapped. Anyone in his position could have gone this way. It's a very human response to want revenge for the death of someone you love, especially an innocent child.

The complicated reason, which deals with why Souji snapped, has to deal with his personality. Souji's generally seen as an extremely stable, level-headed kind of guy. He's compassionate, he's a good listener, he's a problem-solver, he deals with things efficiently and Gets the Job Done. It's why he's the leader, after all.

But everyone has limits.

08 29 11 (UTC) - REVISION
Thank you for submitting your application! Before we can come to a decision though, we'd like to see a few revisions. They're as follows:

- The first person sample is too short for us to get a feel for the personality.
- There are severe problems with the personality.

In regards to the personality, we feel as if the lack of differentiation between good and evil is unfitting for this protagonist. There are also problems with some of the points regarding obedience and an open sort of crush on Atsuro. There is also a problem with your portrayal of Naoya; namely, we feel your portrayal of him is not entirely in-character - please revise it.

You have one week to submit them. If you feel this isn't enough time or if you have issues on what we are asking revisions on, please feel free to contact any of us mods to talk about it. If a week passes and we don't hear from you, however, we're afraid your application will be rejected.

Name: Nepeta Leijon
Age: Six solar sweeps//apprx. 13 years
Species: Troll @ Alternia

Series: Homestuck//MS Paint Adventures
OU/AU: OU!
Canon Point: after Alterniabound!
History:
MSPA wiki (http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/MS_Paint_Adventures_Wiki) || Nepeta's page (http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Nepeta)

Personality:
Nepeta is a very friendly troll. She's friends with or is friendly towards everyone, and she tends to try and avoid fighting with them. She'll lean towards pacification if a fight breaks out, but she's also not afraid to protect herself or her friends if she needs to. Even when someone is grumpy with her (see: Equius) she still tends to try and be friendly.

She's innocent in her own way. She's not naive in the least, but she tends to be nicer and use less cursing than pretty much every other troll in existence. When she does curse, it's usually because she's upset or angry, but these instances are few and far between.

Nepeta loves kitties. Loves. Loves. She considers herself a kitty, is constantly roleplaying as a two-mouthed kitty and replaces purrfectly normal words with cat puns. This habit doesn't ever seem to stop, even when she is upset. (She also replaces double e's with 33s, instead, like Mar33p.) Because of this, she usually refers to herself doing things such as smelling the personality of someone or flexing her claws, etc etc. She hunts her own food and believes in hunting and killing only what she'll eat. She also likes to wear a tail, a cat-hat, paws, etc etc.

She also loves roleplaying. Whenever she enters into a chat conversation she usually starts off with *asterisked actions*, even when speaking, unless something important is going on. Every chat starts off with the same :33 < for each line, and this rarely changes, even when she's pissed (sometimes - very rarely - the face will change to something like XOO). She also refers to all of her friends under their chat-names, albeit abbreviated, instead of calling them by their first names, as well as herself (ac). She's also a massive fangirl, to the point of drawing up shipping walls of her friends, based on who she thinks would be cutest together, who is most likely to happen and who she wishes would happen (like herself and Karkat <3).

Like most of the other trolls, Nepeta isn't bothered by her society's closed views on blood color - she doesn't pay much attention to the color of her blood or her friends' blood, even though her moirail - the person she considers a close friend and usually sticks with and protects, Equius - considers it highly important.

Gamzee will not have his modus, so all of his stuff will appear in a pile nearby. His husktop will not work. The subconscious powers will have a weaker effect on the second level, but full strength on first.

As far as the slime goes, Gamzee will find his fix in GMC and Walgreens-type stores. In jars near all the vitamin supplements.

09 09 11 (UTC) - Harry Potter || Harry Potter (books) || OU || Not Reserved || 2/5
Personality:

From the moment Harry was left on the doorstep of Number 4 Privet Drive, he was doomed to live an abused domestic life. He was shoved into the cupboard underneath the Dursley's staircase at a presumably young age, and was rarely allowed to leave the cupboard. He held no control over when he was able to leave, when/if he would eat, or even what he would eat. The main, and most likely only reason he was moved to Dudley's spare bedroom was that the Dursley's were afraid he would turn them into frogs in his sleep. They were terrified of his magical ability, and for a while left him alone. Still, his meals typically consisted of two slices of bread and a chunk of cheese. When the Dobby mishap happened, Harry was bolted into his room with bars on the windows and a catflap in the door to allow a can of soup or a piece of bread through it. In short, his meals became scarcer, and this has added to his ability to eat a lot and be entirely grateful for every bit of it. In addition, while he doesn't mind sharing things, he often keeps the bulk of what is his to himself. Even though he feels guilty for owning much, much more money than the Weasley's, the thought to give them some doesn't cross his mind; when a boy is twelve-years-old and used to being forced to live on the bare minimum, perhaps even below it, it's not exactly the first thing to think of.

Harry's love for freedom comes out of his hatred for having been locked up nearly every moment of his life, and is embodied in his talent and love for flying. He always loves to be in the air, be it on a broom or in an enchanted Ford Anglia. At home with the Dursley's, he finds solace in sitting outside in the open air, out of the house and without a Dursley in sight. His disregard for rules could also have stemmed from the strict, oppressive environment in which he was raised, and it causes him to not take rules and restrictions very seriously (unless it's the "don't use magic outside of school" rule, which would get him expelled and that is the last thing he wants). In school, he often breaks them without a worry, going out after hours and exploring restricted areas of the school. He enjoys a good adventure, especially if, by the end of it, he comes back with questions answered and multiplied. Adventures with his friends, sometimes even without, are a way of breaking out of restrictions and to constantly be on the move.

He's determined and brave, standing up for himself and never backing down. During his time with the Dursley's, he like to talk back to them, making snarky comments in response to their abuse, even though he knew he'd face punishments for them. Sometimes, the fun of watching them squirm when he so much as said "hocus pocus" was well worth it. He doesn't believe in sitting back and taking it; he fights it like a man and won't stop. If he doesn't act on this, he at least thinks about it, and tries to come up with as many solutions as possible, which, in times of desperation, only amount to one plausible idea and one ridiculous one. This somewhat backfired during Aunt Marge's visit, when he held in his snarking and things he could have said to defend himself until the point he accidentally inflated her with magic; he hadn't had a problem with involuntary magic during moments of his temper flaring since before Hogwarts, so it was alarming enough for him to run away the same night. His quick-thinking, however, does get him out of dire trouble, even if it takes something serious to happen before his thought process goes in a sense-making direction.

09 11 11 (UTC) - ► Oz Vessalius || Pandora Hearts || OU || Not Reserved 2/?
Personality:Oz was raised as a noble in the Vessalius house hold. His family was wealthy and he was properly educated. Oz is capable of pulling his own weight and he does all of his hard work. When he was younger he studied hard so that his father would acknowledge him. Outwardly he's energetic and optimistic. He's extremely friendly towards most people and he doesn't seem to mind talking to strangers. Oz is good at taking the initiative. He doesn't like watching other people get hurt and he would put himself into harms way for other people's sake.  At times Oz can be surprisingly sharp. He saw through the Mad Baby's illusion by thinking logically. When the Baskervilles trapped him into the Abyss Oz could easily accept the situation in front of him. In that regard he can adapt to new places well. For the most part Oz speaks in a polite manner. He never addresses people rudely and he equally shows concern for everyone around him. However, he has a short temper and he's easily provoked. Emily frequently made fun of Oz and he was usually quick to retort back.

Oz trembles when he's scared and he gets prone to short bursts of depression.  Oz's father rejected him and he was told that he was unwanted. This heavily affected him because he couldn't find his own self worth.  He tries his hardest to stay out of everyone's way and he doesn't understand himself. Despite that he can understand other people well. Oz could tell that Raven was a good person even though they haven't been acquainted for very long.
